And if I may be so bold as to editorialize for just a moment: I think the hateration she’s been getting here is a bit unwarranted. She’s just a girl, people. And from the few times I’ve met her, I can honestly say: A REALLY SWEET GIRL. I feel for her. I do. I kind of WAS her at her age. During my (mercifully brief) celebutante phase, I was a vapid little flibbertygibbet flitting around from party to party in barely there outfits. And people LOATHED me. A restaurant-goer once set me on fire – SET ME ON FIRE! – he was so annoyed by me. And everyone applauded – APPLAUDED! – as I spun and shrieked and stomped on my feather boas to put them out. And look at me! I turned out just fine! Life has a way of changing you. And I’m not going to fault Courtney for being a ditzy attention whore at 19, and neither should you. In 30 years, she just might be the next Camille Paglia. Or… the next Angelyne. But either way, it will be interesting to watch. You’ll be seeing more of Courtney on the WOW Report in the coming months, I have no doubt about THAT, and I think we all need to reserve judgment.
