Well, they are both big stars named Jennifer L. with fancy new places (that we can’t afford), but that is where the similarity stops. Still, it’s fun to compare and contrast, Beverly Hills house vs New York City loft, traditional vs modern –even though these are real estate pics, they seem to reflect these Jen’s tastes, somewhat.
Jennifer Lawrence, 24, just purchased the former home of Jessica Simpson for $6.4 million, who originally listed the house for $7.9 million in May. (Real estate maven and talk-show host, Ellen Degeneres owned it before Simpson.) It’s 5,500 square feet with five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a stone courtyard, koi pond and beautiful slate-edged pool. With an Oscar and a net worth of $40 million, she’s putting her Hunger Games loot to good use, it seems.
Jennifer Lopez, 45, just ended her long search for new NYC digs, deciding on this 6,500-square-foot duplex for $22 million! It stretches between two city blocks, making it one of the longest apartments in New York City, with spacious 12′ ceilings, four bedrooms, six baths, and an open plan all-white kitchen. If the party moves outside she has four HUGE terraces looking out over Madison Square Park, totaling over 3,000 square feet of premium NYC outdoor space. There’s no pool (so far) but off the master bedroom, there’s a putting green. Let’s face it, she’s starting to make Madonna look like a slacker lately. With a net worth of $300 million, (not including her new $26 million Las Vegas deal) she’s adding this to her ever-changing real estate portfolio, which includes a new $10 million dollar house in the Hamptons and another in Hidden Hills in Los Angeles.
