Ugh. Do we really all sound like Valley girls to the rest of the world?
While on the red carpet at the Britannia Awards in Los Angeles, California, Siobhan Thompson from BBC America convinced incoming British celebrities to perform their worst American accents and American celebrities to perform their worst British accents. It’s interesting to note that it appears that the Brits think Americans sound like they’re either from the Deep South, from the Valley, or just Robert DeNiro wannabes, while Americans seem to think that their British counterparts sound like Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady.
