According to the New York Post, Bruce Jenner’s mother, Esther, says she supports Bruce Jenner’s decision “whole-heartedly” as he transitions from male to female:
“I just learned about [his transition]. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it. I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, wonderful public speaker. He instills enthusiasm in people. He’s gifted. I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck. He deserves all the respect.”
Aww. No matter what your age, your position in life, or the circumstances it’s good to know Mom’s got your back. Everybody say love!
NOTE: Just you don’t think I’m being insensitive about using “His” in the headline as opposed to “Her”, I was going by what the person identifies with currently. Until Bruce asks to be called by a different name and gender, I think the proper gender is the one he publicly identifies with. That’s my 2 cents. I could be wrong. (via Page Six)
