I don’t know what to say here, the headline really says it all. In the 19th and early 20th century, gravestones would have small ceramic photographic images affixed to them. (My friend Josef Astor did an exhibit with using this technique. The piece to the left, was shot in Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, resting place of Oscar Wilde & Jim Morrison) But who knew this was a “thing”. It makes New Jersey and The Sopranos look like Paris. After scrolling through these images, you’ll see, there’s not a big variation on the look and if they didn’t have names on them, I’d swear they were all the same 3 guys.
