Conceptual artist Richard Prince made headlines last year for co-opting other people’s Instagram pics as his own (one artist Prince “borrowed” from, my buddy Sean Fader, one-upped Prince by taking his pics back and exhibiting them.) But Spanish actress, Anna Allen didn’t have “appropriation art” in mind when she stole Instagram photos from some well-known celebs. In some cases she went a step further and Photoshopped her herself into pictures. She’s not an unknown, trying to break into the biz, on the contrary, she’s a seasoned actress with more than 12 years experience starring in the TV show Acusados (The Accused). You can see the damning evidence of her fibs below, but online now, she appears to have disabled all of her social media accounts since the story was first picked up. BuzzFeed and Formula TV have both gathered a pretty incriminating collection of her offenses. She reappropriated Lupita Nyong’o‘s shot of her 2014 Oscar invitation, with the caption:
“So it’s official: I’m invited to the Oscars!!!”
And, of course, she had to have the Red Carpet evidence of her Oscar appearance so she put her head on actress Kasia Smutniak’s body. That evidence still lives on her IMDB page. She also grafted her head onto Summer Glau‘s body in a picture of the Big Bang Theory cast implying she was on the show, while another shows her replacing Melissa George in a photo with Matt Bomer. And she was seemingly OBSESSED with Sophia Bush’s Instagram, posting multiple pics of Sophia’s footwear and back turned to the camera –an easy steal. Nevertheless, she seems to have mastered Photoshop in the process, so, if this acting thing drys up, she can add that skill to her resumé for real. Acting is make-believe and kind of “lying for a living” but she took it one step too far. Qué vergüenza, Anna.
