The gay men behind one of fashion’s top labels, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, say that gay families are not real families. Fashion designers, business partners for decades, and a couple until they split a few years ago, not only DON’T support same-sex marriage, but now they’re attacking it. In an interview with Panorama magazine and translated by LGBT News Italia the designers said:

“The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.” Procreation “must be an act of love. I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri [for] rent, semen chosen from a catalog.”

In a 2013 interview with London’s The Telegraph, both designers answered when asked if they would ever get married:

“What?! Never! [We] don’t believe in gay marriage.”

In 2006, Stefano Gabbana told the Daily Mail:

“I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents.”

Geez, the Catholic Church did a number on you two! Once word gets out, we’ll just see how much merch you sell to LGBT folks in the U.S., married or not… (via The New Civil Rights Movement)
