Max Azria, the founder of the BCBG has put a lot of time and money into making his massive Holmby Hills manse over-the-top luxurious in every way. As you step inside the frontdoors into the two-story entryway you are confronted with this floor-to-ceiling “waterfall chandelier” with a 150,000 hand-placed crystals. Inside the 30,000-square-foot, 17-bedroom, 33-bathroom mansion, there’s a 6,000-square-foot movie theater, Azria’s office has gold leafed domed ceiling, the kitchen has a walk-in fridge. There an is organic greenhouse and the other glass-ceilinged greenhouse has been converted into a gym. The tennis court has an elevated viewing box and the swimming pool has a pool house with a sauna, spa and fireplace. The property has a number of gardens, including the original rose garden. In the “French Garden,” a patio with a free-standing fireplace, the Azrias frequently entertained. Max and his wife Lubov bought the house in 2005 and they’ve spent over $30 million gut-renovating it! Lubov is the design mastermind behind the look of the nearly 3-acre property and it doesn’t get much more over the top. Have a look around.
