Walking on the sidewalk can be tricky, especially in New York City. It seems easy enough, right? – but New Yorkers walk differently than visitors in their fair city. Improv Everywhere is a New York City-based prank collective that has done hilarious pranks around the city over the years like their annual No-pants Day Subway Ride and a flash-mob musical in a random grocery store. For this one, done a few years ago, they created separate walking lanes for tourists and New Yorkers on a Fifth Avenue sidewalk. DOT “employees” were on hand to enforce the new rules and ask pedestrians for their feedback on the initiative. The pics sell the idea but the video really is the end result. Love these guys. Watch.
