It’s a battle between the R&B heartthrobs! Over the weekend, the sexy and stylish singer Miguel took a pretty intense shot at fellow adorable R&B singer/songwriter Frank Ocean during an interview with The Sunday Times, adding some serious fuel to their already established rivalry.
“I wouldn’t say we were friends. To be completely honest—and no disrespect to anyone—I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around,” said Miguel during the press tour promoting his latest release Wildheart. Though it’s a great album, I’m still on the edge of my seat waiting for Frank Ocean’s long-awaited follow-up to the masterpiece that was Channel Orange.
Miguel VS. Ocean dates back to 2013 when Frank Ocean beat both Miguel and Chris Brown out at the Grammys in the category for the Best Urban Contemporary Album, and both refused to join the crowd in a standing ovation when Ocean went onstage to accept his award. Then, as according to TMZ, after some time passed, Miguel had no regrets about this, saying he still wouldn’t have stood up.
