The Pan Am Games announced via Twitter that the almighty Yeezus will be closing the ceremonies with what will surely be another spectacular performance extravaganza, as he is known for. Then, during a press conference, Toronto Mayor John Tory was asked if he himself is a Kanye West fan, and his response was: “I won’t say that I spend every single night at home listening to his music, but, you know what, I’m smart enough to know that a lot of people do, and I’m smart enough to know that he’s a proud product of our music industry here, as are a number of others.”

Awkward.
I suspect Mayor Tory may have had Kanye confused with actual Canadian rap superstar Drake all along. Though they have a few similarities—like, they’re both immensely talented, fashionable, handsome, put on spectacular performances, and make, like, a ton of money, they are definitely not the same person. Not to mention, Kanye is from Chicago, not Toronto.
Although, if it were up to me, they’d jump on stage together and recreate this beautiful moment in history, when Drake bowed to Yeezus and they showed a little sexual tension on stage.
A boy can dream, right?
