Fashion icon and mother of all things cool in NYC, Patricia Field, launches a new shoe collaboration with what fashion snobs might consider the antithesis of style…Crocs! The fluffy, proprietary nonplastic resin footwear was originally created for comfort, and mostly seen on kids. That ain’t the case anymore. Field has taken it beyond, adding her pop-neon graffiti fonts which serve as a frame for her iconic graphic illustrations by artist Martine.
“My decision to collaborate with Crocs is based on my belief that Crocs’ method of shoe-making is what I call ‘The Shoes of the Future'”, says Field. “This is because the method is high-tech, with a cost efficient manufacturing process, and of course, high durability. I believe that it is a world concept for shoes, and that the molding process will find it’s way into the wearing apparel, revolutionizing the fashion industry.”
