An employee of Bremerton Bug Museum in Bremerton, WA was bitten by a Burmese python named Stella on Monday after she decided to feed the snake on her own without permission or going through the proper training. Christopher Jones, who owns the museum said:
Stella is a very docile snake. I’m normally the only person who feeds her.
The employee was bitten on the leg by the snake while she was preparing it’s usual meal of frozen rats. Jones thinks the snake must have been excited or confused when she smelled the thawing rats. The employee has is doing fine and has returned to work.
