Well, technically, the wooden “wave” you’re looking at is called a “double conoid formation”. This four-bedroom mid-century modern house in New Jersey is set on 10 acres in the Delaware River Valley about 2 hours from New York City. Architect Jules Gregory‘s design was named one of the 10 Best Houses in America by Architectural Record the year after it was erected and the original cost was just $30,000. It was built as a home and studio for the architect himself, and has 1,200-square-foot workspace across the yard, which has this gorgeous undulating ceiling of fir beams, along with a sunken living room and glass walls and all those woods. It could use some reno work (those bathrooms are a bit out of character) but it’s original asking price of $1,125,000 in 2012, is now reduced to just $695,000. A bargain!
