Queerbaiting is the practice of capitalizing on homoerotic tension between two characters (usually on a TV show), with no intention of ever actually letting them be gay or putting them together in a romantic situation. Think Dean and Castiel on Supernatural, John and Sherlock on Sherlock, Rizzoli and Isles, the entire fucking cast of Teen Wolf. Personally, I think it’s adorable when, say, Reek looks at Ramsay Snow with those big cow eyes, or the way Merlin used to get all flustered around Arthur, but the following bullet-point infographic wants you to thinks otherwise. Apparently it’s insidious and needs to stop. Click to enlarge. (via Chadley MacGuff via SnuggyDaemon)
