Really started from the bottom there, huh? Paid your dues? Emma Ferrer, the 20-year-old granddaughter of Audrey Hepburn, “channels her iconic grandmother” on two covers of Harper Bazaar‘s September issue subscriber covers. In the first image, Ferrer wears a beautiful black and white gown from Lanvin’s resort 2015 collection, and in the second, a grey ostrich number from Ralph Lauren. She was photographed by Michael Avedon, the grandson of legendary fashion photographer Richard Avedon, which just gives the whole shoot a frisson of buzzworthyness, doesn’t it?
“As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family,” Emma tells the magazine. Which… well… BARF.
“When I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I’ve seen My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday, but I suppose my favorite is Funny Face.”
During her interview, Emma revealed that she is lucky enough to be in possession of many of Audrey’s items, including sweaters and a teddy bear.
“All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter,” she shared while revealing which of Audrey’s personal effects were passed down to her. “And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.” (via Hollywood Life)
