If you’ve been watching Island Hunters on HGTV, then YOU KNOW the jaw-droppingly sumptuous private islands that are out there on the market. Every week on our Island Report, we’re bringing you a hot new property you DIDN’T see on the show. Here is this week’s gorgeous little island hideaway: Little St. George’s Caye in Belize with the most perfect beach ever!
ABOUT LITTLE ST.GEORGE’S CAYE
Little St. George’s Caye is named in honor of St. George’s Caye, a stone throw’s to the east and the historical capital of Belize, where the Battle of St. George’s Caye took place between the Spaniards and the English in 1798. It is situated just ENE of Belize City which is now inhabited by the upper echelon of Belize and foreigners alike.
Little St. George’s Caye boasts 2 white sandy beaches, one facing the north and the other facing west towards Belize City. Both beaches offer access to the crystal clear waters with powdery white sandy sea bed which is perfect for swimming and wading.
Little St George’s Caye is situated less than one and a half miles away from Belize’s Barrier Reef, the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and second in the world only to Australia.
The property is poised for development with a provisional approved subdivision plan allowing for 17 individual lots which can be a mix of residential or commercial use offering unlimited potential for those with the vision. It has the potential to include a first class full service resort offering a myriad of activities such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking, flats fishing, deep water fishing and other water sports and/or high end residential home sites using green self-sufficient technology for power.
Apart from the beaches there are two common green areas for the use of the island’s residents. The island is comprised of 5.066 acres, making Little St Georges Caye the ideal size for easy maintenance and management. The eastern side offers deep water for boat dockage right up to the private residential lots.
Little St Georges Caye has it all – location, natural attributes and ready to build on – with potential limited only by one’s imagination and budget.
